De jonge ijshockeykampioenen, de Mighty Ducks krijgen een beurs om naar de exclusieve Eden Hall Academie te gaan. Daardoor komt er een einde aan hun samenwerking met coach Gordon Bombay. Ted Orion, hun nieuwe coach, heeft een totaal andere manier van werken en na hun eerste nederlaag moeten de Ducks hem gelijk geven. Het wordt echt spannend wanneer de Ducks in de arena moeten treden tegen de bullebakken van de universiteitsploeg.
