يحاول رجل الأعمال (خطاب النجاري) إبعاد كافة الشباب الذين يتقدمون لخطبة ابنته الوحيدة (حبيبة)، وذلك بسبب تعلقه الشديد بها، حتى يتقدم لخطبة ابنته الضابط (طارق)، الذي سبق له أن أخرج (خطاب) من مأزق في أحد الأقسام، ويحاول (خطاب) بشتى الطرق إبعاد (طارق) عن ابنته فيضع له العراقيل التي ينجح (طارق) في اجتيازها.
