مرد جواني بي توجه به وضعيت دختري كه از رابطه با او فرزندي دارد، براي ادامه ي تحصيل به خارج سفر مي كند. دختر، نااميد، دست به انتحار مي زند. اما جوان ديگر او را نجات مي دهد و بعد نيز با او ازدواج مي كند. به زودي مرد اول از سفر خارج برمي گردد و چون خود را به شدت تنها و بيگانه مي بيند به خاطر سعادت آن ها اينبار اوست كه دست به انتحار مي زند
