فیلم سینمایی کافه ستاره، روایت زندگی سه زن به نام های فریبا، سالومه و ملوک در یکی از محله های قدیمی تهران است. فریبا زن میانسالی است که مخارج زندگی خود و خانواده اش را از اداره کردن کافه ای کوچک و حقیر در محله درمی آورد. سالومه دختر جوان و زیبای محل، رویای ازدواج با پسری به نام ابی را در سر دارد ولی پسر هیچ پولی ندارد و ملوک زن میانسالی است که عاشق یکی از جوان های محل به نام خسرو است
